Projects Director

Laurie Morley is a Project Manager and chartered builder with over 30 years of project delivery experience.

In 1978 Laurie Joined St Thomas Hospital as a Senior Building Officer undertaking a variety of capital works across the hospitals estate encompassing a number of outlying clinics and hospitals including Tooting Bec, Lambeth and South Western. Schemes involved major infrastructure renewals and specialist equipment installations such as Linear accelerators, Lithotripters, EMI body scanners and an array of laboratory and scientific installations.

After six years Laurie Joined the property Division of Standard Charted Bank where initially he was assigned responsibility for several key buildings in the banks estate portfolio. This included the banks head office building and flagship branch in London. Key projects related to the brief development and delivery of dealing rooms, general office alterations, fit outs and cash /security vault conversions. Specific responsibilities also extended to properties in the Channel Islands, Europe and the UEA.

In 1990 Laurie Joined Hornagold and Hills where he worked closely with his clients on a number of major campus redevelopments including the John Innes Centre for Plant Science Research, Horticulture Research International and a variety of other projects such as QCA, LSC, DFES, GTC, Shoeless Joe’s, London Borough of Newham, Barking and Dagenham, Pfizer and LUL.

In 2001 Laurie became a partner of Hornagold and Hills with specific responsibility for education. Here he grew and managed a team of specialists delivering a significant number of school, Higher and Further Education redevelopment projects ranging in value from £10 – 350m, from early feasibility through to completion. With a specific requirement to provide sustainable world class quality buildings, project schemes increasingly formed part of major regeneration developments.
